Diese Chakren sind autarke Ökosysteme, für die weder Pestizide noch Dünger erforderlich sind. Höhere Bäume spenden dem Guayusa-Baum den wichtigen Schatten. L-Theanin - das Gefühl der Meditation
L-Theanine is a naturally occurring amino acid which was first discovered by the Japanese researcher Dr. Y Sakato. In Japan, L-Theanine plays an essential role in daily consumption, especially in tea.
Focus, Relaxation and Creativity
Studies have shown that L-Theanine triggers the release of alpha brain waves. These alpha brain waves lead to a state of mind, which also occurs during meditation as well as creative tasks. The release of alpha-waves enhances focus, relaxation and creativity. 
L-Theanine may reduce anxiety and stress before a special situation (e.g. exam or contest). L-Theanine may help support the mental performance and studies suggest that L-Theanine could cause anti-stress effects.  
The study by Pardau et al. (2017, ) concluded that Guayusa is a «good source of dietary phenolic compounds with cellular antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties».
Koffein - schlimmster Feind oder bester Freund
Pure caffeine like in coffee or energy drinks could be your worst enemy. Caffeine interacts with neurotransmitters in the brain and can cause feelings like nervousness and anxiety. The release of epinephrine (adrenaline hormone) puts your body under stress.  However, in combination with L-Theanine, caffeine becomes your beloved friend. Guayusa contains caffeine, L-Theanine as well as valuable polyphenols. This special combination makes KAMIDO a superior option compared to coffee and energy drinks.
Better mental performance
According to the study by Haskell et al. (2008, ), the combination of L-Theanine and caffeine has shown to «promote faster simple reaction time, faster numeric working memory reaction time and improved sentence verification accuracy».
Lower increase in epinephrine
Coffee leads to release of epinephrine (adrenaline hormone) – you feel energized, but not better. Krieger et al. (2016, ) have shown that Guayusa «stimulated a significantly lower increase in epinephrine». This is why you feel energized, but in a good way.
Schuster et al. (2019, ) conclude that «[…] compounds such as polyphenols, theobromine and L-theanine appear to enhance mood and cognition effects of caffeine and alleviate negative psychophysiological effects of caffeine».
Beware of synthetic caffeine
Most people think that caffeine is only a natural product found in coffee and tea. Unfortunately, almost all energy drinks contain synthetic caffeine which is created in labs. Synthetic caffeine is quickly absorbed, but will also lead to a quicker crash. KAMIDO goes the natural way and brews Guayusa leaves which contain natural caffeine.
